The country that has invested the most money in technology can vary depending on the time period being considered and the specific area of technology being examined. However, in recent years, the United States and China have been the top two countries in terms of overall investment in technology.

In 2020, the United States was the world leader in terms of technology investment, with an estimated $442 billion invested in research and development, according to the National Science Foundation. China followed closely behind with an estimated $371 billion invested in R&D.

Other countries that are also investing heavily in technology include Japan, South Korea, and Germany. However, when it comes to the total amount invested, the US and China are currently the dominant players.
